The Year 4 Teacher position begins January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 to ensure a smooth start.

About the role

The Year 4 Teacher will design sequenced units that build cumulative knowledge, deliver guided-reading and maths reasoning lessons, and run focused small-group work to close gaps. The Year 4 Teacher will be part of a collaborative phase team in Ealing, contributing to curriculum planning, CPD and moderation activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and teach sequenced Year 4 lessons with clear progression and purposeful differentiation.
  • Lead interventions, evaluate impact and adapt provision to meet learners’ needs.
  • Contribute to whole-school curriculum development and moderation across Ealing.
  • Communicate progress to parents and participate in reporting cycles.
  • Support enrichment activities and wider school priorities.

Person specification

  • Qualified teacher with proven Year 4/KS2 experience and a track record of improving outcomes.
