A welcoming primary school in Ealing is seeking a caring and organised Teaching Assistant to join the team from January 2026. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide high-quality in-class support, run small-group interventions, assist with preparation of resources and help build pupils’ independence. This Teaching Assistant role in Ealing will begin January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled in the weeks before January 2026 to ensure the Teaching Assistant is ready for the spring term.

The Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to deliver guided reading, phonics groups and targeted maths or language support. The Teaching Assistant will monitor and record progress, adapt resources to meet individual needs and support positive behaviour so that all pupils can access the curriculum. In Ealing, the Teaching Assistant will be part of a supportive staff team with clear CPD pathways and a strong culture of collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one and small-group support to accelerate learning.
  • Run planned interventions and record their impact to inform next steps.
  • Support whole-class teaching by scaffolding tasks and modelling strategies.
  • Prepare and adapt resources and maintain a safe, organised learning area.
  • Help supervise breaktimes, support transitions and contribute to pastoral care in Ealing.
Person specification
  • Previous experience working in schools or with children and confidence delivering interventions as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Patient, adaptable and able to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills and a commitment to inclusive practice in Ealing.
  • Available to start January 2026 and to attend induction and handover before January 2026.
