About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, and highly skilled School Site Manager to take full ownership of the facilities, security, and operational compliance at a secondary school campus in Ealing. This is a pivotal, hands-on role ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-functioning environment for students and staff alike. The school is looking to move quickly and secure the right candidate to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management: Oversee the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and security of all school buildings and grounds, including hands-on minor maintenance work.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, managing fire warden duties, risk assessments, and compliance logging (COSHH, legionella, testing).
- Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors while on-site, ensuring all maintenance and capital project works meet strict safety and quality standards.
- Security & Keyholding: Serve as a primary keyholder, managing the daily opening and closing procedures of the school, and responding to emergency call-outs.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate the site maintenance and cleaning teams to maintain an exceptional standard of presentation.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in facilities management, caretaking, or a relevant trade background (experience within a school setting is highly advantageous).
- A solid understanding of health and safety legislation, building compliance, and emergency protocols.
