A high-performing academy in Hackney is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Science Technician to manage the technical support for Chemistry and Physics from January 2026.
You will manage a team of junior technicians, oversee the stock control and ordering for Chemistry and Physics, and ensure meticulous compliance with CLEAPSS and safety regulations. The role involves hands-on preparation for all KS5 practicals and maintaining specialist equipment.
Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience in a Senior or supervisory Science Technician role.
- Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry and Physics practical requirements up to A-Level.
- Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and oversee complex stock and budget tracking.
- Expert knowledge of chemical storage, waste disposal, and equipment calibration.
