Wayman Education is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive, and supportive Primary School in Ealing. This is a long-term position working closely with a pupil who has additional learning needs and may sometimes present challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring they feel included, engaged, and confident in lessons.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to promote independence and progress.
  • Assist the class teacher with day-to-day activities, helping to maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment.
  • Understand and respond to a range of needs, from mild to complex.
  • Follow detailed EHCPs and collaborate closely with the SENCO and wider school team.
  • Work flexibly across EYFS to KS2 as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach with strong relationship-building skills.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Two professional references.
