A well-established secondary school in Camden is looking for an experienced Science Technician to join its science department from October.

This is a hands-on role supporting teachers and pupils across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will be organised, practical and confident working in a school laboratory environment.

The Role

  • Prepare equipment, chemicals and materials for practical lessons.

  • Set up and clear away experiments and practical activities.

  • Maintain laboratories, equipment and stock levels.

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

  • Support teachers during practical lessons where required.

  • Assist with ordering and monitoring scientific supplies.

  • Keep preparation areas and laboratories clean, safe and organised.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Science Technician, ideally within a secondary school.

  • Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and practical science.

  • Understanding of safe handling and storage of chemicals.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently.

  • A practical, reliable and proactive approach.

Experience supporting GCSE and A-Level practical work would be advantageous.

Working Hours

The role will generally follow school opening hours, with a typical pattern of Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–4:30pm, and Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.
