We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Science Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in the desirable Battersea area of Wandsworth. The Role
- The school is looking for a qualified Science Teacher capable of teaching all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at Key Stage 3 and specializing in at least one at GCSE and A-Level.
- The successful candidate will be dedicated to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional lessons in Science across Key Stage 3 and specializing in your subject(s) at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
- Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum that promotes scientific literacy, inquiry skills, and critical thinking.
- Planning and conducting practical experiments safely and effectively to enhance student understanding.
- Monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing intervention strategies when necessary.
- Collaborating with the supportive Science team to develop resources and share best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, with a strong ability to teach your specialism(s) to A-Level.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to ensuring high levels of student engagement and achievement.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
