We're looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive School Administrator to become an integral part of a welcoming primary school in Hackney. As the first point of contact for many visitors and families, you'll play a key role in ensuring the school runs smoothly each day. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a positive impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming visitors, parents, pupils, and contractors while maintaining a professional and friendly reception.
- Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries, ensuring they are handled efficiently.
- Supporting attendance administration, pupil records, admissions, and general school data.
- Using school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor to maintain accurate records.
- Preparing letters, reports, and school communications using Microsoft Office.
- Assisting with school events, trips, meetings, and diary management.
- Supporting safeguarding procedures, including visitor sign-in and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing general administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying, and document management.
- Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

- Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of school attendance, admissions, or safeguarding administration.
- Experience using SIMS, Arbor, or other Management Information Systems.
