A Role Focused on Academic Success
You’ll be teaching Psychology across the secondary age range, helping students build a strong understanding of key theories, research methods and contemporary psychological issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching Psychology across the relevant Key Stages
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons
- Preparing students for examinations where required
- Developing students' knowledge of psychological theories and research
- Helping students strengthen their analytical and evaluative skills
- Teaching research methods and examination technique
- Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting students with revision and examination preparation
- Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the subject

The ideal candidate will have strong Psychology subject knowledge and the confidence to teach the subject effectively across the relevant Key Stages. You’ll be someone who can make complex ideas accessible, encourage thoughtful discussion and help students develop their confidence and understanding. Previous secondary Psychology teaching experience would be highly desirable.
