An experienced Premises Manager is required for a busy Southwark primary school, to start January 2026. The Premises Manager will lead site operations, drive compliance and ensure the school environment supports excellent teaching and learning. The Premises Manager will be invited to planning meetings prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and take on the leadership of premises functions from January 2026.
The Premises Manager will oversee buildings, manage contractors and maintain the school’s compliance documentation. The Premises Manager will lead the site team, coordinate emergency planning and support whole-school events that run after January 2026. This is a leadership role for a practical and organised Premises Manager able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the school community.
- Oversee planned maintenance, carry out risk assessments and ensure statutory checks are completed.
- Lead the site team, manage contractor performance and maintain accurate compliance records.
- Support lettings and community use while ensuring safeguarding and site security.
The Premises Manager will ensure that all site activity is delivered safely from the January 2026 start date.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a managerial premises/facilities role.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, contract management and compliance obligations.
