The successful Physics Teacher will join a well-resourced Science department and will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Physics lessons across the secondary curriculum. You will teach students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them develop a secure understanding of core scientific principles and preparing GCSE students effectively for their examinations.
For the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity to teach Physics at Key Stage 5. A strong understanding of the subject and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way will be essential.
The department places importance on practical Science as well as theoretical understanding. You will therefore be expected to make appropriate use of experiments, demonstrations and problem-solving activities to help students understand how Physics works beyond the textbook.
You will work alongside other members of the Science team to plan lessons, assess student progress and share effective teaching approaches. The school is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about their subject and who can create a classroom environment where students feel confident asking questions and challenging their own understanding.

Salary
The salary for this Physics Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
