The Role

  • Managing day-to-day site operations, maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance programmes
  • Supervising contractors and monitoring the quality of completed works
  • Managing cleaning, security and other facilities services
  • Carrying out site inspections and ensuring issues are addressed promptly
  • Overseeing fire safety, health & safety and statutory compliance
  • Managing risk assessments, inspections and required records
  • Supporting procurement, quotations and contractor appointments
  • Managing allocated budgets and monitoring expenditure
  • Responding to emergencies and urgent site issues
  • Supporting school events and wider operational requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience in operations, facilities, estates or site management, with a strong understanding of health & safety and building maintenance. You'll be practical, organised and confident managing contractors, budgets and competing priorities. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll work with staff, students, visitors, suppliers and external stakeholders. A full clean UK driving licence is essential, alongside good IT skills and the ability to undertake practical site duties when required.
