We are seeking an inspirational and talented Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the desirable Battersea area of Wandsworth. This is a superb opportunity for a passionate educator to lead engaging lessons and contribute to a flourishing creative arts department.
The Role
- Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in Music to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.
- Developing and implementing a creative and challenging curriculum that incorporates composition, performance, and music technology.
- Directing and coordinating school ensembles, choirs, and bands, and organizing school performances and concerts.
- Providing instrumental and vocal tuition support, where appropriate, and encouraging student participation in extracurricular music activities.
- Collaborating with the wider Arts faculty to promote the importance of creativity across the school.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Music or a related performing arts field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary school level, with expertise at GCSE and A-Level.
- Proficiency in a range of musical instruments and a good understanding of music technology.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire a diverse group of students.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
