We are recruiting a Midday Meals Supervisor for a popular primary school in Ealing. The Midday Meals Supervisor will coordinate lunchtime routines, support pupils’ social and dietary needs, help maintain hygiene standards and encourage positive play. This Midday Meals Supervisor position in Ealing begins January 2026, with induction and handover planned prior to January 2026 so the Midday Meals Supervisor can start the spring term confidently.
About the role: The Midday Meals Supervisor will manage the dining area and outdoor play during lunchtimes, ensuring pupils remain safe, engaged and appropriately supervised. The Midday Meals Supervisor will work closely with kitchen staff, first-aiders and senior leaders to follow dietary plans, support children with additional needs and keep accurate logs of incidents and routines. Based in Ealing, the Midday Meals Supervisor will be expected to promote positive lunchtime cultures and to participate in team briefings.
Key responsibilities:- Oversee dining-room routines and supervise pupils in the hall and playground as Midday Meals Supervisor.
- Follow health & safety and hygiene procedures, supporting kitchen and cleaning staff where necessary.
- Support pupils with individual needs at lunchtime and communicate with class teachers and SEN staff in Ealing.
- Encourage constructive play, resolve low-level disputes and teach social routines to pupils.
- Maintain records, report concerns and contribute to continuous improvement of lunchtime provision.
- Experience working with children and confidence managing groups during meal and play times as a Midday Meals Supervisor.
- Calm, proactive and able to apply consistent behaviour approaches across the Ealing school.
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, pupils and parents; available to start January 2026.
