The LSA will assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons, run targeted small-group activities, support pupils with additional needs and help maintain an effective learning environment. This LSA role starts January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 so the LSA is ready to begin the spring term confident and prepared to contribute across Lambeth.

Main duties
  • Support classroom delivery by working with individuals and small groups as an LSA.
  • Deliver focused catch-up sessions under teacher direction and record outcomes.
  • Assist with resource preparation, behaviour routines and classroom organisation.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development and liaise with staff and families.
  • Contribute to transition arrangements and provide clear handovers for colleagues across Lambeth.
Person specification
  • Prior experience in a school or similar educational setting as an LSA.
  • Calm, flexible and committed to supporting pupil progress; good record-keeping skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work across the Lambeth school; ready to start January 2026 and attend pre-start induction before January 2026.
