The IT Technician will deliver first-line support to staff and pupils, maintain the device fleet, support classroom AV and assist with network troubleshooting. This IT Technician post in Lambeth commences January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 so the IT Technician can be fully operational for the spring term.

The IT Technician will manage imaging and deployment, maintain accurate asset records, support software updates and help teachers use digital tools effectively. In Lambeth, the IT Technician will work alongside senior leaders to prioritise IT improvements and will support remote-learning setups when required.
Responsibilities- Provide first-line support and resolve common hardware/software issues for staff and pupils.
- Image, configure and deploy laptops, tablets and shared devices and maintain the asset register.
- Support classroom AV and interactive displays and assist teachers to make best use of technology.
- Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues and liaise with external providers when necessary.
- Assist with software updates, backups and basic IT security processes across Lambeth.
- Proven experience in an IT support role or as an IT Technician with confidence across devices and basic networking.
- Good customer-service skills, patient communicator and able to support non-technical staff in Lambeth.
- Organised, proactive and able to start January 2026, attending induction and handover prior to January 2026.
- Comfortable working on-site across the Lambeth school and liaising with colleagues at all levels.
