A successful secondary school in Ealing is looking to appoint an HR Officer to join its dedicated support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working with people and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a busy school environment. Working closely with senior leaders, the successful candidate will help deliver a high-quality HR service, supporting staff throughout the employee lifecycle while helping to maintain a positive, professional and compliant workplace.

The Role

The HR Officer will provide day-to-day operational HR support, ensuring processes are delivered efficiently and employees receive a responsive and professional service. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting recruitment campaigns and coordinating interview processes
  • Managing onboarding, induction and pre-employment checks
  • Preparing contracts, offer letters and HR documentation
  • Maintaining accurate personnel records and HR systems
  • Supporting employee relations and absence management processes
  • Advising managers on routine HR queries and procedures
  • Ensuring safeguarding and employment compliance requirements are met
  • Assisting with HR projects and continuous service improvements
