I'm delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Southwark that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic HR Administrator to join its support team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an organised and people-focused administrator to become part of a welcoming school where staff wellbeing and professional development are at the heart of everything they do. You'll work alongside an experienced HR Manager, supporting the smooth running of the school's HR operations while building valuable experience across the full employee lifecycle.

No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a busy environment.

As HR Administrator, you'll play an important role in supporting the school's HR function through a wide range of administrative responsibilities, including:

  • Coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities

  • Preparing employment contracts and HR correspondence

  • Maintaining confidential employee records and HR databases

  • Organising safeguarding and compliance documentation

  • Processing payroll amendments and contract variations

  • Monitoring staff absence and maintaining accurate records

  • Supporting employee lifecycle administration

  • Providing first-line administrative support to the HR department

About the School

This successful 11–18 secondary school is known for its inclusive culture, supportive leadership, and strong sense of community. Staff are encouraged to share ideas, develop professionally, and contribute to a positive working environment where everyone is valued.

The Successful Candidate

I'd love to hear from HR Administrators, HR Assistants, School HR Administrators, Office Administrators, or experienced administrators looking to move into a dedicated HR role.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, an excellent communicator, and confident managing confidential information while delivering a first-class administrative service.

Salary & Benefits

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • September 2026 start

  • Local Government Pension Scheme
