We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed History Teacher to join the successful Humanities faculty at a highly regarded secondary academy in the prestigious Westminster area of Central London. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective History specialist dedicated to delivering rigorous, evidence-based lessons that encourage critical thinking, source analysis, and intellectual debate. You will be joining a supportive, fast-paced environment where strong academic outcomes and intellectual curiosity are prioritized. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice and contributing to a successful Humanities department in the heart of the capital.

We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A relevant degree in History or a closely related discipline.
  • A proven track record as an excellent History Teacher with experience teaching the subject to at least Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
  • A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • The drive to contribute positively to the academic life of the school.

Salary and Benefits include Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers. The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Inner London Pay Scale (The Inner London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £40,317 as of September 2025). A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum. Excellent, structured professional development and career progression pathways.
