Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum, combining play-based and structured learning approaches
  • Provide targeted support for one-to-one or small group activities, particularly for SEN and EAL children
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, phonics, and creative learning activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour, self-regulation, and social interaction
  • Help manage classroom routines, transitions, snack times, and outdoor activities
  • Observe, assess, and record pupil progress in line with EYFS objectives
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, external specialists, and parents
  • Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards
  • Support emotional wellbeing and development for all pupils
