Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering EYFS curriculum activities, including phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and creative play
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN or EAL needs
  • Encourage independence, social skills, positive behaviour, and emotional regulation
  • Support classroom routines, transitions, snack times, and outdoor play activities
  • Observe, assess, and record pupil progress in line with EYFS learning goals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, external specialists, and parents to ensure consistent support
  • Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times
  • Support children’s emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning
