A nurturing primary school in Acton, West London is seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and creating a safe, stimulating, and play-based learning environment for children aged 3–5 years. The EYFS TA will help children develop academically, socially, and emotionally, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities
- Work with individual children and small groups to support learning and development
- Assist with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Support children with personal care where required (toileting, meals, dressing)
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS expectations
- Prepare and maintain engaging classroom resources and learning areas
- Support indoor and outdoor learning activities
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Essential Requirements
- Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting
- Understanding of the EYFS framework
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification
- Experience supporting SEN within EYFS
- Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training
