The EYFS Teacher will plan play-based learning, lead systematic phonics and support early social development; the EYFS Teacher will prepare environments before January 2026, join induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 in a part-time capacity.

A week in the life of an EYFS Teacher (Part-Time):

  • Mornings (on working days): the EYFS Teacher leads phonics and language sessions, runs focused adult-led maths activities and supervises rich outdoor play.
  • Afternoons (on working days): the EYFS Teacher records observations, plans next steps and meets with parents.

Although part-time, the EYFS Teacher is fully included in phase planning, moderation and staff training starting in January 2026.

EYFS Teacher Responsibilities:

  • The EYFS Teacher will design continuous provision and scaffold learning;
  • Deliver adult-led sessions and follow up interventions;
  • Assess progress against the Early Learning Goals and report to families;
  • Liaise with the Reception Teacher to ensure a smooth transition;
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives starting from January 2026.

EYFS Teacher Requirements:

We are seeking an EYFS Teacher with QTS/EYTS or equivalent, excellent early years knowledge and the ability to create stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities. The EYFS Teacher must be available for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 in a part-time role.
