A vibrant and creative primary school in Hackney is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team. The role involves supporting children who present with a range of additional needs including social communication difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and early literacy delays. You will run daily communication-focused interventions, support structured play tasks, implement sensory strategies to help with regulation, and work 1:1 with specific pupils who require consistent adult support.
The school follows a child-led, play-based learning approach and places a strong emphasis on emotional development, early language acquisition, and inclusive practice. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher, parents, SENCO, and visiting Speech and Language Therapists to deliver tailored activities that help children build confidence, independence, and essential early learning skills. Key Skills- Strong understanding of early communication development
