Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Drama).

Option to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level / BTEC Performing Arts) depending on candidate experience.

Foster a creative, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment where pupils build confidence and performance skills.

Monitor pupil progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback to support individual achievement.

Contribute to extra-curricular clubs, school plays, drama showcases, and theater visits.

Maintain effective behavior management in line with the school’s ethos and policy.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.

Education: A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, or a related discipline.

Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Drama curriculum, including script work, devisor techniques, and practitioner studies.

Skills: Excellent classroom management, enthusiastic delivery, and strong communication skills.

Safeguarding: Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to process a new one through Wayman Education.
