A fantastic opportunity is available for a Design Technology Technician to join an Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Camden this October.
The school is looking for someone who can take responsibility for the practical side of the department and provide reliable day-to-day support to teachers. You’ll help prepare resources, maintain equipment and ensure students can safely complete practical projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility

Prepare materials and equipment for DT lessons

Set up practical activities and demonstrations

Support staff with student projects

Maintain machinery, tools and other specialist equipment

Keep workshops and preparation areas organised

Manage materials, stock and consumables
-
Complete regular equipment checks

Report maintenance and safety concerns

Follow appropriate workshop and school safety procedures
Could This Be You?
This position would suit a hands-on technician who enjoys working in a practical environment. Experience within a school is advantageous, but we’re also interested in candidates with relevant experience from workshops, engineering, manufacturing or other technical settings.
You’ll need to be responsible, methodical and confident using a range of tools and equipment. Most importantly, you’ll understand how to create a safe and well-organised practical environment.
