A successful Secondary School in the London Borough of Lewisham is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Manager to join its dedicated support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised professional who enjoys using data to drive school improvement and support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the school's management information systems, ensuring all student, attendance and assessment data is accurate, secure and readily accessible. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and administrative staff, you will oversee the collection, validation and analysis of assessment, attendance and pupil progress data. You will produce detailed reports that support school improvement planning while ensuring the integrity of all information held within the school's management systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom databases
  • Coordinating census returns
  • Producing performance reports
  • Supporting timetable information
  • Monitoring assessment deadlines
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation

You will also provide training and ongoing support to staff using school systems, review existing reporting procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency across the school's administrative and data functions.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge. Previous experience within a school data environment is highly desirable.
