We are seeking a dedicated, organised and proactive Attendance Officer to join an inclusive and well-structured secondary school in Hackney. This is a key role within the pastoral and administrative team, focused on promoting excellent attendance, supporting students and ensuring that robust systems are in place to monitor and improve attendance across the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily monitoring and recording of student attendance, ensuring that registers are accurate and that absences are followed up promptly. You will work closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff and families to identify patterns of absence and implement appropriate interventions to support students in attending regularly and punctually.

This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally. You will be expected to build positive relationships with students and families, helping to remove barriers to attendance and supporting the school’s commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
