A successful Secondary School in the London Borough of Ealing is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Art Technician to join its creative and supportive Art department on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical background in Art, Design or a related creative discipline who enjoys working with materials, equipment and students. The successful candidate will provide essential technical and practical support to teachers, ensuring lessons, coursework and exhibitions can be delivered to a high standard.

You will work closely with the Head of Art and teaching staff to prepare materials and equipment for lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. This will include preparing paints, drawing materials, printing equipment, textiles, clay, glazes, specialist tools and other resources depending on the requirements of individual lessons. The department encourages students to experiment with different techniques and media, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working across a variety of practical areas. You will help teachers prepare demonstrations, organise materials and ensure studios are ready before lessons begin.

You will also maintain equipment and resources, monitor stock levels, organise storage areas and place orders when supplies need replenishing. Keeping the department organised will be an important part of the position, particularly during busy GCSE and A-Level coursework periods. The role will also involve supporting student exhibitions, displays, open evenings and enrichment activities. You may assist with mounting artwork, preparing exhibition spaces and ensuring students' work is presented professionally.

This is an 11 to 18 well-established Secondary School in Ealing with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school serves a diverse community and provides a supportive environment where positive relationships and high expectations are central to daily practice. Students are encouraged to become confident and independent learners, with a broad curriculum that supports both academic achievement and personal development. The Art department is a creative and engaging part of the school, providing students with opportunities to explore different materials, develop technical skills and express their ideas. Staff benefit from a collaborative professional culture, supportive leadership and a clear focus on maintaining high standards across the school.
