An independent school in Camden is looking for an AV Technician to join its technical support team. You'll be supporting staff and students across the school, making sure classrooms, presentation spaces and event venues are fully equipped and ready to go. It's a varied position, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in the wider life of the school.
What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and test AV equipment before lessons, meetings and events.
- Support assemblies, presentations, concerts and school productions.
- Troubleshoot issues with sound, projection, displays and video equipment.
- Provide day-to-day AV support to teaching and support staff.
- Manage microphones, speakers and other audio equipment.
- Carry out basic maintenance and regular equipment checks.
- Help with equipment moves, installations and upgrades.
- Keep technical equipment organised and ready for use.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience working with AV equipment in a school, theatre, events or corporate environment. We're looking for someone who is technically capable but also approachable and patient. You'll be supporting people with different levels of technical knowledge, so being able to explain things clearly is just as important as knowing how to fix them. Experience with live sound, lighting, projection, video conferencing or theatre AV would be a strong advantage.
