As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Anfield, your role will include:

- Supporting learning through differentiated resources and visual aids
- Monitoring pupil progress and recording observations
- Supporting children during unstructured times such as playtime and lunch
- Assisting with personal care when required (training provided if necessary)
- Maintaining a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Upholding safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN in schools or care settings
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
- Have a good understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
- Be confident supporting behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
- Be flexible, proactive, and reliable
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be available for an ASAP start
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Experience working with EHCPs, sensory integration strategies, speech and language support, or SEMH interventions is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
