About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire confidence, curiosity, and academic success.

Students follow a carefully planned curriculum covering number, algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and mathematical reasoning, with many progressing to A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations while encouraging logical thinking and the application of mathematics in real-world contexts.

You will also contribute to curriculum development, intervention programmes, maths enrichment activities, STEM initiatives, and competitions that promote a deeper appreciation of the subject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured, and challenging lessons

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations

  • Develop students' reasoning, fluency, and problem-solving skills

  • Assess progress and provide high-quality, constructive feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Support STEM initiatives, intervention programmes, and enrichment activities

  • Foster confidence and a lifelong appreciation of mathematics

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level and Further Mathematics

  • Experience contributing to STEM or mathematics enrichment programmes

  • Ability to support intervention strategies that raise attainment

  • A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
