A supportive secondary school in Liverpool is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join its Design and Technology department on a full-time basis, with an ASAP start. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys practical, engaging lessons and is committed to helping students develop both their technical knowledge and confidence.

About the Role

The successful Food Technology Teacher will deliver well-planned lessons across KS3 to KS5, with a strong focus on practical skills, food preparation, nutrition and the wider principles of Food Technology.

You will be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Teach Food Technology across the relevant key stages
  • Develop students' creativity, independence and practical skills
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom safety
  • Support students in achieving strong academic and practical outcomes
  • Contribute positively to the wider Design and Technology department

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent

The successful candidate will be paid in line with the relevant teacher pay scale, depending on experience and qualifications.
