As Science Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing equipment and materials for practical Science lessons.
  • Setting up experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Preparing chemical solutions safely and accurately.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and apparatus.
  • Ordering and monitoring stock of laboratory materials.
  • Ensuring laboratories comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Supporting teachers during practical lessons where appropriate.
  • Maintaining chemical inventories and storage systems.
  • Safely disposing of laboratory waste.
  • Preparing practical resources for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Assisting with Science enrichment events and STEM activities.
  • Keeping laboratories clean, organised and fully equipped.
