A well-regarded secondary school in Leicester is looking to appoint a History Teacher from January. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who can inspire students through an engaging and challenging History curriculum.

You will join a supportive Humanities department where staff work closely together to share ideas, resources and effective teaching strategies. The school has high expectations for both staff and students and is committed to ensuring that every learner reaches their potential.

The role will involve:

  • Teaching History across KS3 and KS4.

  • Planning and delivering well-structured lessons.

  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations.

  • Assessing and monitoring student progress.

  • Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment.

  • Supporting the wider life of the school.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS with a History specialism.

  • Strong subject knowledge.

  • Previous experience teaching secondary History.

  • Excellent classroom management.

  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

  • A commitment to raising student attainment.
