The Data Officer plays an essential role in ensuring the school maintains accurate student records, produces high-quality data reports, and supports leadership with strategic analytics that inform school improvement.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing student information systems (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom) and ensuring data accuracy
- Producing attainment, progress, attendance, and behaviour reports for SLT and Governors
- Supporting teachers and middle leaders with data-entry processes and performance tracking
- Coordinating census submissions, exam results imports, baseline data, and statutory returns
- Creating dashboards, performance summaries, and comparative analysis tables
- Maintaining timetabling data, student groups, and assessment marksheets
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and secure data handling protocols
- Working collaboratively with Exams, Attendance, and Pastoral teams
- Supporting whole-school assessment cycles, reporting windows, and parent data releases
- Analysing trends to support intervention planning and raising achievement
This role requires strong technical ability, exceptional accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work under time pressure during peak data periods.
You will join a high-performing data and assessment team consisting of experienced professionals who work closely with SLT, Heads of Department, and pastoral teams.
