A well-regarded 11–16 secondary school in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to play a key role in supporting student engagement and safeguarding.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily attendance and punctuality using the school MIS
  • Carry out first-day calling, texting and absence investigations
  • Liaise with Heads of Year regarding persistent absence
  • Prepare attendance reports for SLT and governors
  • Meet with families to discuss attendance concerns
  • Work alongside safeguarding leads when attendance flags concerns
  • Coordinate penalty notices and referrals where necessary
