A fantastic opportunity for an experienced, proactive and highly organised Site Manager to play a key operational role in a successful secondary school in Leeds.
The school is seeking a dependable and skilled Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running, maintenance and security of the school site. This full-time, permanent position begins January 2026 (or earlier for the right candidate). You will take a leading role in ensuring that the school environment is safe, efficient and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing a small team, experienced in facilities or building maintenance, and able to work both strategically and hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily site operations, including opening, securing and maintaining the school
- Managing caretaking, cleaning and maintenance staff
- Conducting and supervising repairs, maintenance and refurbishment tasks
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory checks (fire safety, water testing, risk assessments, etc.)
- Monitoring heating, lighting, security and alarm systems
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers and external agencies
- Maintaining high standards of site cleanliness, organisation and security
- Managing budgets related to premises, supplies and minor works
- Supporting school events, lettings, evening activities and emergency call-outs
- Contributing to long-term site development and improvement planning with leadership
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in site, facilities or building management (school experience desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance procedures
- Practical skills across maintenance, repairs, DIY or trades
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and high level of reliability
Salary: Support staff pay scale, dependent on experience.
