A dynamic secondary school in Leeds is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Senior DT Technician to specialize in Resistant Materials and lead workshop management from January 2026.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Significant experience working as a DT Technician, specializing in Resistant Materials (Wood/Metal/Plastics).
  • Expert knowledge of workshop machinery operation, maintenance, and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH).
  • Proven ability to prepare materials, set up practical projects, and assist students with specialist equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing stock, materials procurement, and budget tracking.

This is a senior role, essential to the success and safety of our busy DT department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the main workshop, supported by a junior technician.
