The Role
As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds. You will be a visible and essential part of the school team, ensuring that the site is always ready for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Security: Act as a key holder, responsible for the opening and closing of the school premises and ensuring the building is secure at all times.
- General Maintenance: Carry out essential repairs, minor plumbing, joinery, and painting/decorating tasks to keep the facilities in top condition.
- Health & Safety: Conduct regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring (Legionella prevention), and playground inspections.
