The School Business Manager (SBM) holds a key post of senior responsibility within the school. Reporting directly to the Head, the SBM is responsible for ensuring all financial and non-teaching aspects of the school run efficiently and effectively. The SBM is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SMT) and is expected to contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the school’s services.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive SBM Manager to join the school full-time on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting across the school
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable and payroll
- Prepare management accounts, forecasts, and financial statements
- Support the senior leadership team with strategic financial advice
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the smooth running and strategic development of the school
Qualifications in accounting such as Accounting Technician or qualified Accountant are required, along with experience in managing strategic financial plans, budgets, financial reporting, procurement, and fixed assets. Candidates should have skills in financial analysis and reporting, managing and leading teams, and working effectively with internal and external partners.
