A vibrant, inclusive, and highly supportive secondary school in Leeds is looking to appoint a dedicated Reprographics Technician to join their administrative support team immediately. As a Reprographics Technician, you will take full ownership of the school’s high-volume printing, copying, and finishing services. You will work closely with teaching and support staff to deliver high-quality educational resources, examinations, and display materials on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain high-volume digital printers, photocopiers, laminators, binders, and guillotines safely and efficiently.
  • Manage the centralized printing queue, ensuring all staff requests for lesson materials, booklets, and exams are fulfilled ahead of deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on reprographics machinery, clearing jams, replacing toners, and logging technical faults with external engineers.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of paper, binding materials, and other consumable resources, placing orders when necessary.
  • Quality-assure all finished materials to ensure clarity, correct formatting, and professional presentation.
  • Assist the wider school administration team with basic clerical tasks during periods of lower printing demand.
Requirements:
  • Prior professional experience working in a reprographics center, digital print shop, or a busy school printing department is highly desirable.
  • Excellent IT literacy, with the ability to navigate printing software, adjust document layouts, and manage electronic files.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a heavy workload under tight time constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring zero errors in mass-produced documents or exam papers.
  • A collaborative approach and a helpful, customer-focused attitude when working with school staff.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or be willing to undergo an immediate application.
