Media Studies ECT
An innovative Secondary Academy in Leeds is seeking a professional and highly organised Media Studies Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their experienced creative and digital media team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across multiple key stages and assist senior leaders, teaching staff, and wider support teams. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of practical production workshops, student-led screening events, and digital journalism projects.
You will also support communication with parents, students, and external agencies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to guide students through both technical media software and analytical theory safely and efficiently. Good IT skills and confidence using video editing packages and media tracking systems are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous teaching placement or relevant instructional experience in Media Studies or Film Production
