The Opportunity
Wayman Education is seeking a technically proficient and proactive IT Technician to join a bustling secondary school in West Yorkshire. With an immediate start available, this is an ideal role for a dedicated professional who enjoys hands-on problem solving and wants to ensure that technology serves as a powerful tool for both teachers and students.
The Role
In this fast-paced educational environment, you will be the first line of support for all things digital. From maintaining high-speed networks to ensuring every classroom's interactive display is ready for the first bell, your work will directly impact the quality of learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Support: Troubleshoot and repair PCs, laptops, tablets, and printers across the school estate.
- Network & Infrastructure: Assist in the maintenance of the school’s wired and wireless networks, including server health and connectivity issues.
- User Management: Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions using Active Directory and Office 365.
- AV Equipment: Maintain and set up audio-visual equipment for assemblies, presentations, and interactive classroom teaching.
- Software Deployment: Install and update educational software packages and ensure antivirus protection is active on all devices.
- Security & Backups: Support the IT Manager in maintaining robust data backup routines and cyber-security protocols.
