A thriving Reading primary requires a skilled KS1 Teacher to join a dedicated team from January 2026. This full-time KS1 Teacher post offers the opportunity to teach enthusiastic learners, shape early literacy provision and contribute to whole-school improvement.

This popular Reading school places literacy at the heart of its curriculum and values the role of the KS1 Teacher in building confident early readers and writers. Class sizes are manageable and resources are strong, enabling the KS1 Teacher to focus on high-quality interactions. The KS1 Teacher will work closely with phase leaders, inclusion staff and experienced TAs to deliver a creative and inclusive KS1 curriculum.

KS1 Teacher Responsibilities
  • Lead systematic phonics, guided reading and structured writing sessions.
  • Develop practical maths lessons and targeted interventions.
  • Use assessment to personalise learning.
  • Prepare resources prior to January 2026 and teach from January 2026.
  • Contribute to transition work and parent workshops to ensure continuity between home and school.
KS1 Teacher Requirements

  • Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a full-time start from January 2026 is required.
