From January 2026, the Year 2 Teacher will lead guided reading, reasoning-rich maths, and topic projects that culminate in high-quality writing. The Independent School offers coaching, observation cycles and time for professional enquiry starting January 2026 and continuing beyond January 2026.

Year 2 Teacher requirements
  • QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) and a track record as a Year 2 Teacher in KS1.
  • Creative, organised and data-literate Year 2 Teacher who adapts teaching responsively.
  • Ready for pre-start planning before January 2026, induction January 2026, and full responsibility from January 2026 as Year 2 Teacher.
  • A Year 2 Teacher who values partnership with families and colleagues within an Independent School.
