The successful candidate will teach History across KS3 and KS4, delivering a varied curriculum that enables students to develop their knowledge, interpretation and understanding of historical events.
The school is looking for a teacher who can create purposeful lessons that encourage students to ask questions, challenge interpretations and form well-supported arguments. You will be expected to plan effectively, monitor progress carefully and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of different learners.
There is a strong emphasis on developing students’ written skills, particularly as they progress towards GCSE. The successful applicant will therefore need to be confident preparing students for examinations and helping them become increasingly independent historians.
