A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a practical and organised DT Technician to join a high-performing secondary school in Barnet with a strong Design Technology department.
The Role
You'll work closely with the DT teaching team to ensure practical lessons run smoothly across KS3–KS5, supporting pupils with their design and making projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing materials, tools and equipment
Supporting practical lessons and student projects
Maintaining machinery and workshop equipment
Managing stock and ordering resources
Supporting CAD/CAM and specialist equipment
Maintaining excellent health & safety standards
Previous experience within DT, engineering, product design or a workshop environment would be highly desirable.
You will be practical, reliable and well organised, with confidence using tools and machinery and the ability to work independently.
