Music Teacher Required for January 2027. Music Teacher position available from September. Successful secondary school based in Ipswich. Welcoming and collaborative Music department. Strong extracurricular music provision. Opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available for the right candidate.

Our client is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Ipswich from September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach at KS5 depending on experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a Music Teacher who wants to make a real difference to students' musical development. The school places strong value on practical music-making and encourages students to participate in a wide range of extracurricular opportunities.

The successful candidate will become part of a supportive department where teachers work collaboratively to develop engaging lessons and encourage students to achieve their potential. There are also opportunities to contribute to choirs, ensembles, performances and wider musical events.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Music Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4
  • Ability to teach KS5 would be advantageous
  • Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as PGCE
  • Strong subject knowledge and practical musical skills
  • Passion for developing students' musical confidence and ability
  • Experience or interest in extracurricular music would be beneficial
  • Legal ability to work within the UK
