Exam Officer

A highly regarded Independent School in Ipswich is seeking a meticulous and organised Exam Officer to join its support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a structured environment and has the organisational skills to manage the complete examination process. The successful candidate will ensure all internal and external examinations are planned, organised and delivered in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.

You will oversee examination entries, maintain candidate records, prepare examination timetables and coordinate access arrangements alongside the SEND department. Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders, you will ensure all deadlines are met while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities include recruiting and managing invigilators, preparing examination rooms, ordering examination materials, liaising with examination boards, processing results and coordinating post-results services including reviews of marking and access to scripts.

You will also maintain accurate examination records, provide guidance to students and parents regarding examination procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of examination systems and processes.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure during busy examination periods.
